Radio interview on  Antidote which broadcasts on WERA 96.7FM and streams online.  It also rebroadcasts in the UK each week.  Airs 9:15 – 9:45 am.  The studio is in Arlington. The link for online streaming live from the station is www.wera.fm; listen to it on the radio at 96.7FM; we post it to mixcloud.com for on-demand listening and archiving; we also post every show to our Facebook page, so you'll be able to circulate that link too. The show airs live Tuesday at 9am and repeats Sunday at 4pm - and Sunday 5pm (GMT) in the UK.

WOWD Interview With Clyde Ensslin

Clyde Ensslin (the DJ Driver) interviewed Chuck Sullivan on WOWD radio from 9 – 11 pm. The interview focused on Steve Winwood's distinctive voice both as vocalist and songwriter; the collaborative nature of his work; his origins as a blues musician first and foremost; and his expertise and proficiency on the Hammond B3 organ as well as multiple other instruments. Steve Winwood’s 70th Birthday

May 12th is Steve Winwood’s 70th birthday.  Winwood still amazes audiences with his vocal range and proficiency on so many instruments.  We’d like to show our appreciation for Winwood with a short video clip taken at the book launch.  See video here. (this will open a new tab)

Kensington Book Festival

Kensington Book Festival on April 22, 2018.  Thanks to everyone for coming out on a beautiful spring day and buying a book or two.  I was able to arrange a special public reunion of the Tommy Lepson Band (formerly the Lazyboys) which included Paul Bell on guitar, Ronnie Newmyer on bass, and Chuck Sullivan on drums.  We performed the following Winwood songs to the delight of the audience:  I’m a Man, Empty Pages, Glad, Can’t Find My Way Home, Walking On, At Times We Do Forget, and Gimme Some Lovin.

Official Book Launch

A Book Launch was held at the Villain and Saint on March 29, 2018.  Thanks to everyone for making the party and buying a book.  I was able to arrange a special private reunion of the Tommy Lepson Band (formerly the Lazyboys) which included Paul Bell on guitar, Ronnie Newmyer on bass, and Chuck Sullivan on drums.  We performed the following Winwood songs spanning his entire career in chronological order:  I’m a Man, Dear Mr. Fantasy, Can’t Find My Way Home, Glad Empty Pages, Medicated Goo, Spanish Dancer, Roll With It, Walking On, At Times We Do Forget, and Gimme Some Lovin.  Here are some live recordings from the event.

Don Grossinger, your Morning Dew host, conducted an interview with author Chuck Sullivan about his new book "About Time - The Unsung Genius of Steve Winwood" on March 18, 2018 on Morning Dew on WBAI-FM NY 99.5 FM and WBAI.org, streaming worldwide. "About Time" is a full 500 pages covering the life of singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer, session musician, Grammy award-winning artist, Steve Winwood. The interview traces his history chronologically from age 15 when he was featured in the Spenser Davis Group to his history with "Traffic" "Blind Faith" and his solo career to the present and includes many rare studio outtakes and unavailable live concert recordings.
